Social and Ethical Responsibility
The Company is committed to taking its social and ethical responsibility seriously and has been recently admitted as a member of the Roundtable on Sustainable Development. The Group intends to conduct its agro-forestry in a sustainable manner, with the aim of ensuring that the benefits of producing palm oil do not come at the cost of destruction of the environment, the misuse of water and other natural resources, or a loss of biodiversity. Furthermore, the Group is committed to the economic and human development of Liberia. At peak production, the Group expects to be a relatively large employer within Liberia. The Group plans to conduct its business activities in accordance with international best-practice and endeavours to ensure that the benefits of its investments will be felt by the local communities in the areas under management.
